Knights fall to Pope, take on Milton

Friday night marked the third-consecutive loss for the football team, as Pope won on the Knight’s home turf by a score of 28-7. The losing streak began in the second game of the year against Roswell and continued through Friday night. The team hasn’t scored more than 13 points in any of its games since a season-opening win against Northview. The Knights are still looking for their first region win. This week, the team heads to Milton before receiving a bye week. … The volleyball team was a scant five points away from winning both of their Thursday matches against Riverwood and Mt. Pisgah. The team fell to Riverwood in three games, however, losing a heartbreaking final game 25-20. Julie Gartner led the way, recording 10 kills and 14 digs. Later in the evening, the girls took down Mt. Pisgah in two games (25-19, 25-21). Chelsea Foster set the team up with eight assists. This week, the team finishes its road schedule with a region contest at North Forsyth. … The softball team lost to Milton 3-1 last Thursday, and hosts Kell this Thursday.atch against Pope is the last match prior to the region playoffs, which start on Oct. 1.
