JONES TO USC: Carver-Columbus linebacker chooses Trojans over Dawgs

Carver-Columbus linebacker Jarvis Jones, who may switch to defensive end in college, will play football at Southern Cal, choosing the Trojans over finalists Georgia, Florida, LSU and Texas. Jones announced his selection at a press conference at his school at 1 p.m on Wednesday. He was a member of the 2007 state championship Carver team in Class 3A and is Score Atlanta’s No. 2 prospect in the state for the 2009 class.
