Hoyas defeat rival Warriors, take on South Cobb

Running back Robbie Godhigh ran his way to three touchdowns and 89 yards rushing in an impressive 21-14 win over rival North Cobb. It was a tight game throughout, but the Hoyas stopped North Cobb, as Christian Turnipseed came up with an interception in the final minute. It was a special night at Harrison: the home field was renamed after Bruce Cobleigh, who was the Hoyas’ head coach for 17 of the team’s 18 years in existence. The Hoyas (2-0) will take on South Cobb at home this Friday. … The cross country teams recently competed in the Berry Invitational. Harrison’s top runners were Ali Waterson for the girls and Ryan Burruss for the boys, both of whom improved their times from a year ago. … The softball team went to 9-3-1 on the season with an impressive win over McEachern, 15-2. Erin Nesbit leads the Hoyas in batting with a .778 average on the season. … The volleyball team has put together a nice string of matches, winning seven of its last eight.
