Hornets fall to Kell, host Campbell Friday night

The football team nearly overcame three interceptions to defeat Kell, but fell just short. Kell’s 21-17 victory was the school’s first-ever win over the Hornets. The teams sit tied in the region standings with identical 2-1 records in the region. This Friday, the team will host Campbell. … A tough week for the softball team was closed out with a 5-4 loss to Kell on Thursday afternoon. Roswell held a brief 4-3 lead in the fourth inning before the Longhorns fought back to tie the game and eventually take the lead. Kristen Consuegra, Maci Laseter, Catherine Brown and Erin Drake each had an RBI, and Consuegra led the team going 3-for-4 with a double. This week, the team will travel to Alpharetta before finishing the weekend with a trip to the Sandy Plains-Lassiter Tournament. … The volleyball team dropped three matches on Saturday versus Cobb at the Fulton Playday. The losses were to Kell, Kennesaw Mountain and Lassiter. The team travels to the Blessed Trinity Invitational this weekend to take on Chamblee, McIntosh, St. Pius and Northwest Whitfield.
