2. Miami Central, FL (3-1) | LAST WEEK (No. 3) Prior to last week’s bye, Miami Central had a successful trip to New Jersey and rolled past Don Bosco Prep (NJ) 50-21. North Gwinnett, Suwanee, GA (4-0) | LAST WEEK (No. 4) Prior to last week’s bye, quarterback Hayden Sphire was 12 of 15 passing for 201 yards and six touchdowns, all in the first half of North Gwinnett’s 63-0 win over Meadowcreek (GA). Caleb Scott caught three touchdown passes, and Nate Brown and Almonzo Brown caught two and one, respectively. C.J. 5. Ensworth, Nashville, TN (5-0) | LAST WEEK (No. 6) Ensworth won its fifth game in a row and by topping McCallie (TN) 28-14. The Tigers took a 14-7 lead at halftime after P.J. Settles connected with Jake Estes on a touchdown strike. They extended their advantage to the final winning margin thanks to a fourth-quarter scoring run by D’Andre Ferby. 6. Hoover, AL (5-0) | LAST WEEK (No. 7) Hoover held Vestavia Hills (AL) to 22 yards of offense in the first half and 86 total yards in its 17-7 win. Hoover gained 345 yards on offense and junior running back Bradrick Shaw gained 111 yards on just 15 carries and scored a third quarter touchdown. Martin Mangram ran for a 45-yard touchdown and sophomore tight end Isaac Nauta hauled in a 35-yard touchdown reception. 17. Byrnes, SC (4-1) | LAST WEEK (No. 17) The Byrnes offense was too much for Boiling Springs (SC) and lifted the Rebels to a 63-34 win on Friday. Quarterback Shuler Bentley found Shaedon Meadors and Isaiah Hill and Greg McHam to take a 35-15 lead into the half. 18. Colquitt County, Moultrie, GA (4-1) | LAST WEEK (No. 18) Colquitt County racked up 430 yards of total offense in its 37-7 win over Lowndes and allowed the Vikings just 137 yards from scrimmage. Quintin Hampton posted six sacks for the Packers’ defense.
