Grayson rolls through Parkview and Shiloh, on Pemberton’s back

On Sept. 26, the Rams eked out a 24-22 win over Parkview behind an offensive line that head coach Mickey Conn called "the biggest surprise of the year so far." Running back Ean Pemberton had over 250 yards rushing on 39 carries in the win. The team last week ventured to Shiloh where Pemberton rushed for 161 in a 42-0 win. Grayson hosts Brookwood on Friday … The softball team wrapped up the regular season with a 2-0 shutout of Newton. The team had lost seven straight before the win. The girls made it two straight wins with a 9-3 victory over South Gwinnett thanks to Lauren Moore’s three hits. … The volleyball team has been cruising recently after a rough opening to the season. The team recently won the Silver Bracket of the Gwinnett County Championships. The Lady Rams carried the momentum to sweep Shiloh and Central Gwinnett. Emily McCloy and Manyi Ati provided 13 combined kills against Shiloh, and Kristi Cheesman tossed in seven aces against Central. Finally, the team swept Providence again to improve to 15-14 on the season.
