GPB Media in partnership with the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) enjoyed record ratings over the weekend with its 13th Annual coverage of 2009 Football Championship games. GPB was the most watched public station in the country both in primetime and full day on Friday during the broadcasts of the Class AA final and Class AAAA final and also on Saturday during the Class A, Class AAA and Class AAAAA finals according to TRAC Media Services. GPB saw a 42% rise in ratings over the same games last year.

GPB Media has long been a player in the high school sports arena producing Prep Sports +, Georgia’s longest running high school sports and academics program. GPB Media is now in its second year of hosting weekly web football games, Football Fridays in Georgia, highlighting the academic achievements of schools across the state.
