The GHSA girls flag football season began Monday, and the results from this season will be featured in Score Atlanta our app and on our online scoreboard.
This week, there were 23 games Monday, 13 games Tuesday and 40 games scheduled for Wednesday. Throughout the season, most games will be played Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and we will feature the flag football scores alongside the results from softball games and volleyball matches across the state.
Flag football was sanctioned by GHSA in 2020 with two classifications – A-5A and 6A-7A – with Calvary Day winning the lower classes and West Forsyth taking the championship in the state’s highest class. In 2021, the state expanded to Classes A-4A, 5A-6A and 7A.
Since the change, Southeast Bulloch has won back-to-back titles in Class A-4A. Dodge County won the 2021 5A-6A championship and Lithia Springs won last season. In Class 7A, Hillgrove won in 2021 and Blessed Trinity captured last year’s championship.
