The world of eSports has exploded in the past five years and the GHSA has been on the forefront as one of the best states for high school eSports competitions.
Some programs field two or even three teams into the seasons and with the world of professional eSports growing exponentially each year, the future is bright for anyone who is wanting to take their careers to the next level.
This fall, the GHSA eSports season begins with the preseason preparations on September 11 and runs until September 18 to allow teams to practice their craft preparing for the season.
The regular season for GHSA eSports begins September 25 and runs until November 17 when teams begin to focus on the playoffs. The first round of the playoffs begins November 27 and goes on until December 8 to decide teams for the fall championships on December 15 at West Georgia.
The GHSA will award state championships in League of Legends, Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Rocket League, Madden23 and Splatoon 3 award championships in the Spring.

Tuesdays: League of Legends, Splatoon 3
Wednesdays: Super Smash Bros.™ Ultimate, NBA2K24
Thursdays: Rocket League, Madden24, Mario Kart™ 8 Deluxe, Hearthstone
