The Georgia High School Association and BSN SPORTS are looking for participants to compete in their Slam Dunk Contest as well as their 3-Point Contest. The event will feature a Boys Slam Dunk Contest, a Girls 3-Point Contest and a Coed 3-Point Contest as well.
Last years event saw Ella Southards of Rabun County win the Girls 3-Point Contest, Jalen Hillard of McEachern win the Slam Dunk Contest, and the Flowery Branch team of Landon Mealor and Bella Brick take home the Coed 3-Point Contest championship for the second-consecutive season.
In each event there will be three rounds including a preliminary round, semifinal round and the finals.
For the Slam Dunk Contest, the entries for the first and semifinal rounds will be done by submitting videos to Instagram, YouTube or Vimeo. They are also accepting entries that can be emailed to marketing@ghsa.net. The first round of entries will be accepted until February 3.

The submissions should be no more than 30 seconds long and the URL of the video should also be submitted to the GHSA as well. The contest allows for one other individual to provide an assist but no props are allowed to be used.
The semifinals of the competition will be held from February 5-16 with the finals taking place on March 9.
The rules for both 3-point contests are the same including preliminary and semifinal rounds taking place on February 11 at various locations. Participants in the contest will have 90-seconds to shoot from four different spots behind the arc with six balls on each rack. Each ball will count as one point while the final ball on the rack will count as three points.
To compete in the Coed 3-Point Competition, both participants on a team must be from the same high school.
For the preliminary rounds of both competitions, the top three from each location in the first round (Lowndes HS, Perry HS, Statesboro HS, Stockbridge HS, Dawson County HS, Model HS, and The Buzz Rec Center in Canton) will advance to the semifinals and the top scores from the semis will advance to the championship.
The finals for the 3-Point Competition will take place at the Macon Coliseum. The finals will take place on Thursday, March 7 for the coed competition and Friday, March 8 for the girls.
All participants for the 3-Point Contests must complete a Liability Waiver before submitting their application to compete in the competition.
