Georgia Elite Classic Announces Date for Second Showcase

Sunday, November 10, will see the second Georgia Elite Classic Showcase of the year take place at Blessed Trinity High School in Roswell, Georgia. The event is open to tackle football players from seventh to 12th grade and flag football high school players.

The Showcase offers players an opportunity to compete, improve, and display their abilities to the Georgia Elite Classic selection and review committee, which includes Rusty Mansell of On3 Recruiting who will be on-site evaluating players at the event. The first showcase saw nearly 60 players receive invitations to the December All-Star games. Mansell and the committee will be awarding invitations to the Georgia Elite Classic All-Star Games following the upcoming showcase as well.

The Classic is a three-day event, with the All-Star games taking place at McEachern High School on December 27 for the two Flag Football All-Star Games and December 28 for the five Tackle Football All-Star Games that will be televised on the Peachtree Sports Network and streamed digitally on the Atlanta News First app and the National Federation High School Network.

At the Showcase, athletes will begin with a dynamic warm-up before testing. They will then be divided into groups and rotated through testing stations. Each player’s measurables will be taken including height, weight, 40-yard dash time, and NFL shuttle drill time. Players will then break into position groups to participate in position-specific drills, including 2-on-2s and 1-on-1s.
