Woodward Academy 35, Druid Hills 6

How the game was won: Woodward Academy won its season finale in convincing fashion after building a 35-0 halftime lead. The War Eagles opened the scoring with two Tahj Gary touchdown runs in the first quarter. Jalen Polk ran in a 1-yard touchdown in the second quarter and quarterback Ryan Glover found Joshua Johnson for a 60-yard score before capping off the scoring with a 4-yard touchdown pass to Ben Wilkinson with 22 seconds left in the half. Druid Hills’ touchdown came in the fourth quarter on a 36-yard touchdown pass from Harrison Aiken to Nehemiah Brown.

Top performers: Woodward Academy’s Ryan Glover finished 11-of-12 passing for 179 yards and two touchdowns.

Milton 20, Lambert 17

How the game was won: Milton rallied from down 17-0 at the half to shock the Longhorns. Jordan Yates took over with his zone read keepers as the Eagles outgained Lambert 264-54 in the second half.

Top Performers: Jordan Yates scored on keepers of 20 and 44 yards, his 44-yarder coming with 1:51 remaining to give Milton its first lead of the game. Nick Augello booted field goals of 27 and 34 yards. Lambert leapt out to a quick lead on the third play of the game when Richie Kenney hit Tyler Gillis on an 80-yard strike. Bryce Christensen added a 43-yard field goal and Noah Beck recorded a 60-yard pick-six.

Fellowship Christian 47, King’s Ridge Christian 0

How the game was won: Fellowship led 26-0 after one quarter and 40-0 at halftime at King’s Ridge as senior tailback Andrew Johnson scored three touchdowns in the first half.

Top performers: Johnson scored on runs of 10 and 3 yards in the first quarter and 22 yards in the second quarter. Cameron Gill had a 50-yard interception return in the first quarter, and the Paladins capped their scoring in the first with a 50-yard pass from Jack Hardin to Ryan Reid. Andrew Minkert had a 15-yard TD rush in the second quarter, and backup quarterback Brooks Bryant had a 3-yard scoring run in the third quarter for Fellowship’s final points. Cam Cochran also had an interception. The Paladins move to 9-0 for the first time in school history.
