ATLANTA SOUTHSIDE
North Clayton 28, Mt. Zion (Jonesboro) 7: Michael Ross took over in the fourth, scoring on a 68-yard run and 74-yard catch for the hosts (5-1). Austin Smith pulled Mt. Zion (5-1) within seven in the third.
LaDarrius Mathis scored on runs of 11 and 31 yards in the first quarter. Ross finished with 214 all-purpose yards.
Westminster 38, Therrell 6: Kamal Brown scored on a 55-yard bomb from quarterback William Linginfelter and also intercepted a pass to lead the host Wildcats (5-2). Meanwhile, John Egan scored on runs of two and nine yards in the second and third quarters, respectively. Therrell dropped to 2-5.
COBB
McEachern 43, Pebblebrook 21: Quarterbacks Dondre Purnell (8-of-10, 239 yards, three touchdowns) and Trent Thompson (16-of-24, 177 yards, one touchdown) pushed McEachern (6-1) past Pebblebrook (3-5) at home. Chris Davis was the Indians’ leading receiver with 101 yards, including a 73-yard score. Marquis Roberts added two rushing scores for McEachern.
Hillgrove 39, North Cobb 27: Hillgrove quarterback Gage Henry accounted for four touchdowns — three passing and one rushing — to lead the Hawks (5-2) past visiting North Cobb (5-2). Kenyan Drake had five receptions for 95 yards, including two touchdowns from 57 and 22 yards out. Tolando Cleveland returned an interception for touchdown in the second quarter.
Etowah 36, Marietta 29: Jason Holdway scored a touchdown with 9:34 left in the game, and Christian Harris added a two-point conversion, to give visiting Etowah (7-1) the win over Marietta (2-5). Etowah’s Nick Rowell scored two touchdowns in the first quarter to put the Eagles up 14-0 to start the game.
DEKALB
Dunwoody 20, Marist 0: Visiting Marist (5-2) and Dunwoody (3-4) each totaled just 40 yards in a scoreless first half. The Wildcats scored in the third quarter on an 8-yard touchdown pass from Justin King to Aaron Easterling. In the fourth, Dunwoody scored on a 37-yard touchdown run by Dewayne Brown and a 55-yard interception return by Chris Hale.
Southwest DeKalb 53, Redan 20: Andre Wilson threw two touchdowns and ran one in himself, leading the host Panthers (5-2) to their third straight victory against the Raiders (4-3). George Kennedy had two rushing scores and Jordan Cornelius returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown. Seven different players found the end zone for Southwest DeKalb.
GWINNETT
South Gwinnett 42, Dacula 35: Quarterback Kent Rollins threw two touchdown passes and ran in a 5-yard score to lead the Comets (6-2) to victory over the host Falcons (4-3). Tevon Walker had three rushing touchdowns, including a 65-yard scamper. Falcons quarterback Rocky Capobianco had three touchdowns on the ground and over 200 all-purpose yards in the loss.
Collins Hill 42, Mill Creek 34: The host Eagles (4-3) picked up their third consecutive win in a victory over the Hawks (3-4). Collins Hill’s Taylor Heinicke threw for 377 yards and four touchdowns, while Zay Howard accounted for three total scores. Mill Creek’s John Russ threw three touchdown passes and Tyler Cierski scored twice on the ground.
NORTH FULTON
Lovett 38, Blessed Trinity 17: Lovett running back Zach Boden rushed for three scores while quarterback Hunter Budd scored once on the ground. Budd was 13-for-18 through the air for 139 yards and a five-yard touchdown to Cyrus Wilson. The visiting Lions (5-2) rushed for 246 yards while the Titans (4-3) tallied 272 on the ground.
Roswell 38, Alpharetta Raiders 26 (4-4) at: The host Hornets (3-4) benefitted from two touchdown runs by Martez Sumler and a 59-yard third-quarter score from Andrew Kwateng. Quarterback J.P. Douglas accounted for two scores, one through the air and one on the ground. Alpharetta (4-4) trailed 14-7 at the half.
Chattahoochee 45, Sequoyah 7: The visiting Cougars (7-0) jumped out to a 35-7 halftime lead on the strength of two touchdown passes by quarterback Timmy Byerly. Kane Whitehurst returned a third-quarter kickoff 55 yards for a touchdown and also caught a 55-yard touchdown pass. The Chiefs fell to (3-4).
Milton 34, Northview 16: Payton Barber rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns to lead Milton (3-4) past visiting Northview (1-7). Wesley Gaston also scored twice on the ground for the Eagles, who gained 280 team rushing yards. Milton’s Matt Thomas added field goals from 42 and 27 yards out.
