Wesleyan in Class A, Lovett in Class 2A, Cartersville in Class 3A, and Pope in Class 5A are now celebrating state championships in baseball after taking care of business on Saturday. The Starr’s Mill-Northgate Game 3 will be played on Monday at 1 p.m. to decide the title in Class 4A.
It was a second straight title for both Wesleyan and Cartersville, as the teams took care of Landmark Christian and Columbus, respectively. Pope swept South Forsyth at home to end the Eagle’s magical surprise season.
