Former Lowndes star quarterback Jacurri Brown has entered the transfer portal. Brown was one of the top QBs in the 2022 recruiting class and has spent the last two seasons with the Miami Hurricanes.
Over his four years with the Vikings, Brown helped lead Lowndes to a 44-10 record, making the quarterfinals or better in every year of his high school career, most notably a state finals appearance in his sophomore season. At Lowndes, he passed for over 5,500 yards and 51 touchdowns while rushing for nearly 4,200 yards and 54 touchdowns.
Brown was the No. 17 quarterback in the country and the No. 263 overall player in 2022, according to 247Sports. He chose to attend the University of Miami (FL) over 22 other offers from schools including Georgia, LSU, and Auburn. Over his two seasons with the Hurricanes, Brown appeared in nine games, completing 62 percent of his passes for 411 yards and four touchdowns, along with 278 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
Brown will be a sought-after QB in the transfer portal with his unique skill set. With few high-end quarterbacks in the portal and many teams in need at the position, Brown will not need to worry about finding a new home.
