Ex-Falcon’s death ruled suicide by Gwinnett County Medical Examiner

The death of former Falcons player Shane Dronett was ruled a suicide by the Gwinnett County Medical Examiner’s office Thursday.

Dronett, a member of the Falcons 1998 Super Bowl team, was found dead in his Sugarloaf home Wednesday. Police responded to a 911 suicide call from Dronett’s wife.

Dronett, 38, was a defensive tackle for the Falcons from 1996-2002.
