ELITE JUNIOR: Daniel David

Mill Creek High School

Mill Creek QB Daniel David has Mill Creek thinking playoffs. The Hawks’ only losses have come at the hands of ranked teams Norcross, North Gwinnett and Peachtree Ridge. He had 2,228 passing yards with 18 touchdowns and an overall 99 QB rating through six games. Daniel is averaging 131 passing yards per game and also has 607 rush yards in his career. So far, South Carolina, Duke, Virginia and Cincinnati have been recruiting the quarterback.

Last summer, Daniel went to quite a few college camps and plans on going to more this summer. He attended Dawg Night at UGA, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Louisville and Tennessee all last summer. South Carolina stood out as his favorite camp though.

“I liked the coaching staff up there, Coach (Steve) Spurrier and (Coach G.A.) Mangus,” Daniel said, “I just liked the atmosphere a lot.”

In addition to his great performance and future on the field, Daniel has a great future ahead of him because of the work he does in the classroom.

Daniel has managed to balance football and academics masterfully, keeping a 3.2 GPA so far in his high school career. He is also a member of DECA, a program that “prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe” according to DECA.org.

Daniel also spends his time giving back to his community, specifically the elementary schools in his area. When he gets the chance, he likes to go to Duncan Creek Elementary to read to the young students. Also, Daniel and his teammates give the students something to smile about every home game.

“Every home game on Friday’s we go to elementary school and open doors and give them high fives,” Daniel explains.

This seemingly simple act is something those kids will surely never forget
