Christopher Fredrick is a safety from Cedar Grove and was a big reason the Saints went 7-5 this past season and were able to reach the second round of the state playoffs.
It was another solid season for the Saints, but Fredrick knows that there is room for improvement.
“We did pretty good this year, but we know we could have done better,” Fredrick said talking about the 2013 season.
Standing at 6-feet-1 and 175 pounds, Fredrick has the size to play both strong and free safety. He also has the speed as he can run a 4.5 40.
That is why Fredrick has received an offer from Old Dominion. But there will be more offers coming his way soon.
“I have gotten interest from Georgia Tech, Northwestern and Mississippi State,” Fredrick said.
Since the season is over, Fredrick can focus his attention on basketball, which has been good for him as he has helped his team to a hot start to the season. But Fredrick said that playing basketball has helped him on the football field.
“It helps me stay in shape,” Fredrick said. “It also helps me keep my footwork.”
Fredrick will be one of the many talented safeties that will represent the North Roster of the Elite Junior Classic.
