The Jackets got their recognition for a stellar season, as eight Yellow Jackets were named All-ACC, including four players named to the first team, tops among league teams. Jonathan Dwyer led the way as one of two unanimous selections. Senior defensive tackle Vance Walker and senior offensive tackle Andrew Gardner, both earning first-team honors for the second straight season, and senior defensive end Michael Johnson joined Dwyer on the team.
Three Yellow Jackets were named second team All-ACC, including senior defensive tackle Darryl Richard, sophomore safety Morgan Burnett and junior offensive guard Cord Howard. Sophomore defen sive end Derrick Morgan was named honorable mention All-ACC.
Overall, all four starters on the defensive line received all-conference honors, Tech’s four first-team selections were the most of any team and eight total selections tied for third behind Boston College and Maryland (nine each).
