Schley County took advantage of a Pacelli lineup featuring four freshmen to knock off the Vikings 6-2, allowing Pacelli just three hits. … Jonathan Cappo was dominating last night for Islands, allowing just two hits while striking out 13 in an 11-1 win over Beach. … In a game stopped after three innings, Jenkins scored 10 first-inning runs to beat Savannah 19-0. Matthew Browning did not yield a hit in the three inning game, striking out eight of the nine batters he faced. … Darlington stole 11 bases and tacked 14 hits on the board in a 13-2 win over Bowdon. Darlington improved to 12-1 on the season. … Nathan Schuster did a bit of everything in Chattooga’s 2-1 win over North Murray. Schuster pitched a complete game while driving in a run for the Indians. … Coffee routed Valdosta 17-1 in a game stopped after three innings. Coffee drew eight walks and pounded out an additional 11 hits en route to the dominating victory. The Trojans began the game with a six-spot in the first inning, following that frame with six more in the second and five in the third. … Banks County edged the Wildcats of Rabun County 7-6 behind the efforts of Tyler Hellmeister and Brenton Ruark. Hellmeister drove in three on a 3-for-5 performance at the plate while Ruark pitched five innings of relief, allowing just two earned runs and striking out seven to earn the win. … Hebron Christian got at least two hits apiece from Tyler Hutch, Drew Coker, Jordan Hillyer and Sid Turner in an 11-1 win over Social Circle. Hutch drove in four runs in the win. … Finally Parkview, Brookwood and Columbus will all play today in Cary, N.C. in the prestigious National High School Invitational, a tournament that features 16 of the country’s best squads. The three schools have combined to win 16 titles since 1991.
