How the game was won: Marist won a defensive struggle on its home field to end a four-game losing streak against St. Pius X. A total of just three points were scored prior to halftime, after which the War Eagles took control with the game’s only touchdown midway through the third quarter. The Golden Lions were limited to 53 yards of total offense in the opening half and failed to get anything going in the second, as well.
Top performers: Marist quarterback Jack Dinges ran in a touchdown from 12 yards out to put his team ahead 10-0. Timmy Bleekrode booted a 28-yard field goal to get the War Eagles on the scoreboard in the first quarter and he capped off the scoring with a 35-yard field goal in the fourth. Kyle Hamilton made an interception in the second quarter to stop St. Pius X’s only scoring threat of the night. Led by John Fitzpatrick, Marist’s defensive front was dominant from start to finish.

How the game was won: Dunwoody quarterback Nick Pastrone led two fourth-quarter touchdown drives to bring the Wildcats back from a 10-0 deficit.
Top performers: Pastrone hit Turner Nims for a 45-yard touchdown to take the lead. Dunwoody pulled to within three points on a six-yard Rony Martinez run. Will Benston broke up a fourth-down pass to the end zone on North Atlanta’s final possession inside one minute to play.
