CC Says: McNabb leaving Philly not a shock, going to ‘Skins is

It’s official! The Philadelphia Eagles have traded Donovan McNabb to the Washington Redskins.
The fact that they traded him is not really a surprise. The fact that they traded him within their division is quite shocking. The Redskins weren’t a very good team for many reasons last season, and quarterback play was right at the top of the list. It’s really nice of the Eagles to help their division rivals solve one of their problems. Maybe they’ll trade DeSean Jackson to the Cowboys so Tony Romo will have another big play receiver.
Kobe Bryant just inked a three-year extension from the Los Angeles Lakers for over $80 million! Fast forward to three years from now and Kobe will have the honor of being the most overpaid player in the league.
Jerry Colangelo did not take kindly to LeBron James hinting that he may not play in the World Championship games this summer. Colangelo requires a three-year commitment and he says there will be no special treatment for anyone. Who is he kidding? LeBron James could skip every practice and game leading up to the Olympics and they’d still find a roster spot for him if he wanted to play.

HAWKS SHOULD WIN 50 …

Joe Johnson has been bothered by a sprained thumb he suffered during the game against the Lakers. The team is taking every precaution to make sure Joe is healthy for the playoffs. In the end, this is the best decision. I think the rest of the team has proven that the wheels will not completely fall off if Johnson is out. The next handful of games isn’t exactly against the league’s elite teams. With all due respect to the Raptors, Pistons and Wizards─ even without Joe Johnson─ the Hawks should be able to beat them. There’s no reason they shouldn’t reach their goal of 50 wins. If they decide to rest Johnson until the first playoff game, you won’t hear many complaints.
The Duke Blue Devils are the new NCAA basketball champions. Congratulations Duke fans, you get to be even more insufferable (if that’s possible) until this time next year.
