Two of the best quarterbacks in the state of Georgia, 5-star University of Southern Cal-commit and Carrollton quarterback Julian “JuJu” Lewis and 4-star University of Miami-commit Milton quarterback Luke Nickel have both been invited to the 2024 Elite 11 quarterback camp.
The Elite 11 is designed to compile the best high school quarterbacks in the country who are attending high-profile college football programs next season as they are put through conditioning and throwing drills by some of the top quarterback coaches in the country.
The camp goes from the regionals which start with around 12 quarterbacks then to the finals where the list gets cut down and an MVP of the camp is announced when the camp concludes.

A multitude of NFL quarterbacks have competed in this event as 27 of the current 32 NFL starting quarterbacks competed in the camp before entering college. Players such as Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa, Trevor Lawrence, Kyler Murray and Bryce Young along with many others competed in the event before they became the superstars they are today.
The top-three quarterbacks in this year’s draft, Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye each competed in the Elite 11 camp with Williams winning MVP in 2020.
Lewis has been committed to the Trojans since August of 2023 and reclassified to the Class of 2025 in January of 2024. Before his reclassification, Lewis was rated as the No. 1 player in the country for the Class of 2026. Now in the Class of 2025, Lewis is rated as a 5-star across all major recruiting sites and is the No. 16 player in the country, No. 3 quarterback in the class and the fifth-best prospect in the state of Georgia according to 247Sports.
Last season as a sophomore, Lewis was a finalist for Gatorade National Player of the Year and won Regional Offensive Player of the Year for the second season in a row. Last season for Carrollton, he led the Trojans to an 11-2 record and threw for 3,094 yards and 48 touchdowns with a 66.4% completion percentage as the Trojans reached the GHSA 7A state quarterfinals.

While he remains committed to USC, plenty of programs are still interested in the 5-star. Lewis has continued to take visits to places such as Colorado, Auburn and Indiana.
Going into his third season as the starting quarterback of the Milton Eagles, Nickel is coming off of a 13-2 season where he led the Eagles to a GHSA 7A state championship, winning their second state championship in program history. In 2023, Nickel was selected as a Second-Team Junior All-American by MaxPreps after throwing for 3,914 yards and 39 touchdowns with a completion percentage of 66.1% through the air, along with six touchdowns on the ground.
“I’m looking forward to competing and learning from the best of the best,” said Nickel.

He has been committed to the University of Miami since August of 2023 and has received a multitude of offers from schools such as Florida State, UNC, Penn State, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech and Kentucky.
By being invited to the Elite 11, both Lewis and Nickel are not only recognized as some of the best quarterbacks in the state of Georgia, but as some of the best in the country in the Class of 2025.
