Georgia State and Hofstra will play for the second time in less than a week as the two schools meet in the first round of the 2010 Virginia 529 College Savings Plan CAA Men’s Basketball Championship, Friday at 6 p.m. at the Richmond (Va.) Coliseum.
The Panthers (12-19, 5-13) are the 10th seed, while Hofstra (18-13, 10-8 CAA), winners of nine of its last 10 games, earned the No. 7 seed. The winner advances to face No. 2 seed Northeastern on Saturday at 6 p.m.
The tournament continues with semifinals Sunday and the championship game Monday at 7 p.m., with an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament on the line.
