Blue Devils allow 33 unanswered points in loss at N. Gwinnett

The football team traveled to take on Region 7-AAAAA foe North Gwinnett and standout quarterback Michael Tamburo. D.J. Adams was on fire early with two touchdowns and 171 yards rushing, but the Blue Devils watched North Gwinnett score 33-straight points to win 33-19. Demetrius Alston had two sacks while kicker Conner Hawk connected on two field goals. … Alexandra Foulke has carried the softball team all season and she carried the team again in a game versus North Forsyth. The pitcher struck out eight batters while only allowing three hits in seven scoreless innings as the Lady Blue Devils won, 3-0. Sarah Moseley had a triple and Samantha Findling drove her home in the victory. The team was then set to participate in the Brookwood Invitational. In the first game, Foulke allowed only one hit while striking out five in a 4-3 win over South Gwinnett. … The girls volleyball team remained at No. 9 in the GACA Coaches poll. The team did not play last week following a 3-3 stretch during the previous week. The team’s record is now 12-6 and the squad is gearing up for the Providence-Gwinnett Championships this Thursday.
