Black Knights looking for first victory against winless Dacula

The football team had last week off as the team prepares to open region play this Friday. Central Gwinnett is 0-2 on the season, with both losses coming out of region play. From now until the end of the season, the team will play their eight remaining games against region opponents, meaning the Black Knights still have plenty of time to set up for a playoff run. Fortunately, the team opens region play against the Dacula Falcons, another team that has yet to win a game on the season. Central Gwinnett also gets the bonus of playing on their home turf against Dacula. … The softball team lost their second in row on Thursday, falling 8-0 to Dacula. It was the first time the team had been shutout since Aug. 23. This week the team will take part and play host in the Central Gwinnett-Brookwood Invitational. … The volleyball team went winless over the weekend, going out of region to take part in the Lovett Block Party. The Lady Knights will go back to region play this week, playing both Grayson and Shiloh on Tuesday.
