Despite each top-ranked team holding steady this week, there were several changes in the baseball rankings. Starting in Class AAAAAA, Milton rejoined the rankings one week after dropping out. The defending state champion Eagles have won three straight and six of seven.
In Class AAAAA, Greenbrier moved up to No. 2 after a dominant win over Evans and a Gainesville defeat. Undefeated Allatoona, meanwhile, moved into the top five.
Columbia and Griffin entered the Class AAAA top five after weeks of consistent play. Griffin’s win over Spalding allowed the Bears to replace Spalding in the top five.
White County moved to No. 2 in Class AAA after an undefeated start and Oconee County shot into the top five after winning nine of 10 games.
Bremen and GAC rose to top-five status in Class AA and Benedictine debuted in the rankings this week at No. 9 after beginning region play 7-0 and going undefeated against Class AA competition.
In Class A, King’s Ridge Christian made the top five while Providence Christian climbed to the No. 7 spot.
