Amelia Reci helps power Savannah Arts girls soccer program through first two weeks of the season

Savannah Arts’ Amelia Reci has started the season in a rather impressive fashion. She has already scored 14 goals through four games, leading a dominant Savannah Arts squad. The team has scored 33 goals in their first four games while only giving up one score.

Reci has been a major part of that success. Her 14 goals are currently good enough for third in the country of active states.

She has been one of the best players in the state over the past two seasons, scoring an impressive 48 goals in her sophomore season and 43 goals in her freshman season. This year, she is on pace for an even better season. Over the past two years, she averaged 2.5 goals per game; this year, she is averaging over 3.5 goals per game.

Along with Reci, two other players have scored more than 10 goals this season. Westside-Augusta’s Ama Drako has scored 11 goals over the first three games of the season, averaging an incredible 3.7 goals per game. The third player with more than 10 goals is Eunise Reyes of Dooly County. While not putting up as many goals per game, she has been extremely consistent through five games, scoring at least one goal in every game and only fewer than two in one game. Her efforts have helped the Bobcats to a strong 3-2 start to the season.
