Dooly County defensive tackle Montravius Adams has been on twitter just six days and has tweeted just four times, but the No. 1 defensive tackle according to both 247sports and Scout.com has already created a stir. In just his second tweet, Adams revealed that USC was “really opening my eyes bro. I can see myself playing in Cali.” Adams has racked up more than 20 offers from schools across the country and has visited Florida, Georgia and Florida State over the past few weeks. It will be interesting to follow Adams as he perhaps offers some insight into the recruiting process via twitter.
ML King offensive lineman Joshua Outlaw de-committed from Florida a few months back after committing back in April, and he has been touring the southeast ever since. After naming Miami a leader, Outlaw visited Clemson and then Auburn last week. Florida State has also reportedly visited the ML King sideline to watch Outlaw play.
Norcross running back Alvin Kamara rushed for more than 300 yards and three scores in a victory over Collins Hill Friday. Curiously, Kamara, considered by some services as the state’s top back, has still not committed despite heavy interest from UGA and Alabama. Walton running back Tyren Jones has pledged to Alabama as has five-star Florida product Derrick Henry, so the chances of Nick Saban and company landing a third dominating out-of-state running back would be seemingly slim, but Kamara has not pledged to UGA, who lost out on both Henry and Jones. Georgia could possibly still land Kamara, but the Dawgs have reportedly not backed off Jones after landing his high school teammate Brandon Kublanow.
Finally, Mount Pisgah lineman Flint Geier has committed to play football at the next level at Cornell. Geier is a captain on the Mount Pisgah squad who suits up on the offensive and defensive lines.
