2027 standout DB Ethan Hauser has set his spring visits

The offers have continued to roll in for standout defensive back Ethan Hauser who has landed offers from Florida, Georgia Tech, Auburn, UCF, Tennessee, Alabama, Maryland, West Virginia, USC, Miami, SMU, Florida Atlantic, Miami (OH), and Missouri. Hauser has set up some spring visits to several top programs in the country.

The following is his visit schedule.

Florida 4/5

Auburn 4/8

Ga Tech 4/10

Tennessee 4/11

Notre Dame TBD

Tennessee is a team worth noting because Hauser has two former teammates already on campus in Jordan Baker and Jadon Perlotte. He took a visit and got the chance to see Baker and speak to him directly.

Florida is another place he will visit for the second time this year. Here is what he said to Corey Bender of On3 when he took a visit back in January.

“I’ve always felt really welcomed. Florida feels like home and the coaches do their best job of showing me a lot of love and attention. The players I know on the team, DJ Lagway and Cormani McClain, always make me feel welcome. They encourage me to come to Florida. The atmosphere at the games and with the staff are amazing. It’s just very welcoming and I love being here and around everyone who is here.”

Georgia Tech is in the heart of Atlanta and isn’t far from Buford. The Yellow Jackets have a great coaching staff and there is a potential chance he could play early. Georgia Tech has shown they will play young players if they are ready. Tae Harris (Cedartown) and Dalen Penson (Sandy Creek) have the chance to see the field early as freshmen. Hauser is also developing a relationship with defensive backs coach Cory Peoples, who has developed quite a rapport with notable defensive backs here in Georgia.

Auburn has one of the best recruiters in the country in Kenyatta Watson who continues to garner accolades. He is elite at recruiting in the state of Georgia when it comes to the transfer portal and high school recruiting. Development is another key factor that Auburn has shown, especially with how good the Tigers’ defensive backs are. Jaylyn Crawformer, formerly of Parkview High School (GA) is a great example. He made a lot of noise his freshman year and is considered one of the better corners returning in 2025.

Notre Dame speaks for itself. It’s rich in tradition and is considered one of the best brands in college football. Oh yeah, you also will always be playing on national television. A new coaching staff will be in place for the 2025 season, but under former defensive coordinator Al Golden they produced elite players like Xavier Watts, Adon Shuler, and Christian Gray. The Fighting Irish are another program that has done a good job of producing defensive backs, especially for the NFL. Head coach Marcus Freeman is still intact and has shown the ability to produce elite defensive units, some of the best in the country.

When you talk to Hauser, he considers himself an athlete who can make an impact on either side of the ball. At heart, he is a defensive back but can be equally as effective on the offensive side of the ball. I think the biggest question is if head coach Bryant Appling allows Hauser to maximize his full potential. We saw it a few years back with former 5-star KJ Bolden who was elite on both sides of the ball. It was shown last year with high-end prospect Tyriq Green who played safety and some running back. This is not a question of talent but more of the coaching staff. Hauser has already been making some headway with Hustle Inc. 7-on-7 this spring just because of his ability to make plays against elite talent in the country.

When you roll his tape, you see a physical defensive back with elite ball skills. Hauser has great instincts that allow him to detect a play before it happens. He is also a hard hitter that will make you feel him if you are late throwing across the middle. An area he is underrated in is his ability to be a run-stopper and come down in the box and make plays. The career arc and trajectory are just getting started for Hauser, who has a bright future ahead of him. Expect more offers to roll in for the standout defensive back.
