We spent Friday in the office gathering details high school football games from throughout metro Atlanta. We’ve included all the stats, big plays and important information you need to feel like you were at the games yourself!
North Clayton 21, Creekside 0: Michael Ross scored twice to help the hosts (9-1) to a region title. He scored in the first and fourth quarters, finishing with 118 yards. Khalil Stinson caught a 26-yard score in the first. Freshman Chris Weems rushed 13 times for 102 yards.
Tri-Cities 21, Mt. Zion 0: Fourth quarter touchdowns from Oscar Ross and Jarrius Hollaman helped the hosts (4-0) to a win. Hollaman also scored on a 43-yard pass from Ross, and finished with 81 yards on three catches. Mt. Zion finishes the regular season at 1-9.
Woodward Academy 48, Washington 7: The host War Eagles (9-1) benefited from three rushing touchdowns by quarterback Andrew Adams and seven total rushing touchdowns. Washington (6-4) scored in the third quarter on a 16-yard run by Justin Taylor. Justin Watkins scored on a 5-yard run to give Woodward an early 7-0 lead.

Etowah 48, Lassiter 21: The host Eagles (9-1) clinched a No. 1 seed with a win over Lassiter (5-5). Jake Jones, Braden Nolan and Devonte Wheaton all scored twice for Etowah. The Eagles will host Region 7 No. 4 seed Mill Creek, and Lassiter travels to No. 1 seed North Gwinnett in the first round.
Harrison 17, North Cobb 6: The visiting Hoyas (5-5) clinched the No. 4 seed out of Region 4-AAAAA, knocking North Cobb (5-5) out playoff contention. Ben Robinson scored twice on the ground in the third quarter on runs of 80 and 17 yards. Harrison will play Stephenson next week in the first round.
Kell 30, Chapel Hill 7: Kell (10-0) defeated Chapel Hill (4-6) on the road to clinch the No. 1 seed out of Region 5-AAAA. Brian Randolph caught a 68-yard touchdown pass and ran for scores of nine and seven yards. The Longhorns will face South Forsyth next week in the first round.
Ridgeland 13, Allatoona 12: Host Ridgeland (9-1) defeated the Bucs (8-2) in the Region 7-AAA championship game as Allatoona missed a 17-yard field goal with no time remaining. Ridgeland’s Paul Watson rushed for touchdowns of 38 and 25 yards, 130 yards overall on 14 carries.
GWINNETT
Brookwood 38, Berkmar 7: Nick Tompkins found the end zone twice in the first quarter, and the visiting Broncos (9-1) never looked back in a win over the Patriots (3-7). Brookwood’s defense had six first-half sacks and forced three turnovers en route to earning the Region 8-AAAAA’s top seed.
Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy 35, Wesleyan 28: Kyle Karempelis had rushing touchdowns of 69, 10 and 14 yards for the host Wolves (9-1), but the Chargers (9-1) scored three second-half touchdowns to blow open a game that was 14-14 at the half. Andrew Frerking scored with 1:30 remaining, but the Charges recovered the ensuing onside kick.
Mill Creek 34, Duluth 23: The visiting Hawks (5-5) defeated the Wildcats (4-6) to clinch the No. 4 seed in Region 7-AAAAA. John Russ threw two touchdown passes to Brandon Hayman and also scored on a quarterback sneak. Duluth’s Anfornee Stewart accounted for two touchdowns in the loss.
North Gwinnett 28, Peachtree Ridge 10: The visiting Bulldogs (10-0) came away with the top seed in Region 7-AAAAA after a victory over the Lions (6-4). Joe Jones had 135 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns, C.J. Uzomah scored on a 21-yard run and Justin Thomas returned a fumble 17 yards for a touchdown.
NORTH FULTON
Centennial 34, Northview 10: The Knights (5-5) closed the season with a victory over the host Titans (1-9), thanks in part to three total touchdowns from quarterback Jimmy Meyer (two rushing, one passing). Carlson Carty and Danny Deshong added rushing touchdowns for Centennial. Evan Jacks scored on a 1-yard run for Northview.
Holy Innocents’ 35, Our Lady of Mercy 7: The visiting Golden Bears (7-3) sprinted to a 21-0 halftime lead on the strength of three touchdowns passes by quarterback John McKay. In the second half, McKay ran 1-yard for another score. The Bobcats (7-3) scored in the final minute to avoid a shutout.
St. Pius X 43, Columbia 0: Geno Smith had a rushing, passing and interception return for touchdown for the host Golden Lions (8-2). St. Pius X led 43-0 at the half as there was no second-half scoring. The Lions returned two passes, a fumble and a blocked punt for scores.
