The football team wanted to play hard for their head coach Tom Flugum, as he was making his Wildcat coaching debut. Hosting Warner Robins, the team knew it was in for a challenge. The game was a defensive struggle, as it remained scoreless after halftime. That all changed, however, when the Demons offense came to life and came away with the 28-0 victory. Wheeler’s offense struggled all game long, as they only gained 109 yards of total offense. They hope they can improve that stat when they take on Alpharetta on Friday. … The volleyball team came up short against Pace Academy on Thursday 2-1. They will face Campbell this Thursday and will participate in the Cobb-Gwinnett Challenge on Saturday. … The softball team had a record of 1-3 at press time. They will look to improve on last year’s record, as they only recorded one win. They will face Kell on Thursday and Alpharetta on Tuesday. … The water polo team is in their second season and they will compete against nine other water polo teams in Georgia.
