The football team was looking to get its season off on the right foot with new head coach Randall Smith, and the Falcons knew that they had a challenge ahead of them on Friday as they took on archrival Osborne. The Falcons got the scoring started early with a Michael Peeples 3-yard touchdown run early in the first quarter. They were able to get two more touchdowns in the second quarter thanks to an Erin Appleby 18-yard run and a Kentavious 47-yard pass to Justin Avery. The Falcons went on to win 34-7 for their 24th win over the Cardinals. Smith wants to duplicate the success that Michael Collins brought the last two years – and he is off to a great start. Pebblebrook will face Creekside on Friday at 7:30 p.m. … The volleyball team played against Lithia Springs on Thursday but was unsuccessful, as the Lady Falcons fell 2-0. They will try to get on the winning track on Thursday when they go up against Whitefield Academy. … The slow-pitch softball team will face off against Harrison on Wednesday.
