Milton (15-4) is ranked No. 4 in Division 3 and spent the evening upending top-ranked Blessed Trinity 28-27, and a game-winning touchdown pass in the fourth quarter proved the deciding factor for the Eagles.
Audrey Jensen, Milton’s junior quarterback, was 16-of-20 passing for 240 yards and three touchdowns to help the Eagles in handing Blessed Trinity (16-2) its second loss of the season. Trailing 7-6 after the first quarter and 21-14 at the half, Milton held the Titans to six points in the second half to overcome the deficit.
Junior Alana Calhoun had three receptions for 88 yards and two touchdowns while sophomore Caroline Marshall had six catches for 85 yards and a touchdown. Marshall added an interception on the defensive side of the ball, which she returned 40 yards. Senior Emerson Rico led Milton with seven tackles while Marshall had four.
