Allstate’s All-Access Weekend is a time when Falcons fans can get up close and personal with their favorite team. This year, Friday Night Lights will take place on August 6, at North Gwinnett High School at 7:30 p.m. And, for the third straight year, it is a free event that is open to the public. The event will feature interactive inflatable games, sponsor offers and giveaways, an autograph session, and a fireworks show. WXIA-TV channel 11 will be live at the scrimmage. Head coach Mike Smith, the quarterbacks, and other position players will be mic’d up and it will be broadcast over the stadium’s PA system.
“This is a special event for not only our fans, but for our players as well. Our guys love going back to their roots and playing under the lights at a high school field every year,” Smith said. “This event provides us the opportunity to reach out to the community and give our fans a chance to get up close and personal with our team as we prepare for the 2010 season,” Smith added. The event was held at Brookwood High School in 2009 and Mill Creek High School in 2008.
The Falcons will have an intrasquad mock game on Saturday, August 7, at their Flowery Branch training facility. It is open to the general public and kicks off at noon. “This event also provides an opportunity to encourage fans to join Allstate’s effort to help reduce teen deaths and other distracted driver injuries by downloading the Allstate Family Texting Pledge pledging not to text and drive. We look forward to another great partnership with the Falcons in August,” John O’Donnell, Allstate’s Southeast Assistant Vice President said.
