The final official coin flip was held Wednesday morning at the GHSA headquarters in Thomaston. The result will give home field advantage to the top of the brackets in the state semifinals for football and the quarterfinals and semifinals for flag football.
This means that in Class 7A, either Colquitt County or Norcross will host the winner of Grayson and West Forsyth this next round. In Class 4A where all eight remaining teams are No. 1 seeds, this gives the winner of Benedictine vs. Riverdale and Cedartown vs. Bainbridge the home field advantage in the semifinals over the winners of Jefferson vs. Carver-Columbus and Perry vs. Marist.
