The second round of the GHSA state volleyball tournament continued Tuesday and, in the state’s highest classification, the elite eight has been set.
Top-ranked Walton will host Lambert in the quarterfinals after a 3-0 victory over North Gwinnett at home. Lambert moved past Hillgrove 3-2 to earn the quarterfinal trip. Roswell defeated Peachtree Ridge 3-0 on the road and will travel again to Brookwood in the quarters. Brookwood beat North Cobb 3-0 at home to advance. Lassiter defeated Collins Hill 3-0 at home and will travel to Norcross for the quarterfinals. Etowah defeated Mill Creek 3-0 and will travel to Kennesaw Mountain for the next round. Kennesaw beat Parkview 3-1 to earn the quarterfinal berth.
