A busy week of region tournament action set the stage for this past weekend’s opening round action of the GHSA basketball state playoffs. All but eight of the 96 No. 1 seeds in the boys and girls Class 2A-7A brackets survived the first round, which sets up for a second round filled with top 10 matchups and programs with rich histories of playoff experience.
