Well folks, round two of the BMW Championship has already kicked off at the Cog Hill Golf & Country Club in Lemont, and it looks like a couple of great golfers are attempting to make a move to the top of the Fed Ex leaderboard. And what better time for Steve Marino and Rory Sabbatini to shoot up there than just a week and a half before the big dance at East Lake in Atlanta?
The two players are sharing the first place standing at Cog Hill right now with a total of -5 on the tournament thus far. These guys are looking good right now, but it is still early in the tournament and they have Padraig Harrington, Brandt Snedeker and Mark Wilson trailing by just one stroke. It should be really entertaining to see how these last 70 finish the fight for the top thirty slots at East Lake, but what some may not know is that the Fed Ex points that these guys have been racking up for the past few weeks will be reset for the TOUR Championship; the seeds, however, will not be reset and each seed will get a certain pre-determined amount of points entering the TOUR Championship according to their ranking after the tournament this weekend. The top five seeds going into East Lake will have the greatest chance of winning “The Chase for the FedEx cup” because if any of them take the title in Atlanta, they will automatically seize the FedEx victory as well. More on the BMW and previews for the TOUR Championship soon.
