The boys rankings saw major shifts this week as Walton and Harrison earned their way into the top 10. Walton took a 9-0 halftime lead and held on for a 10-7 road win over Pope and Harrison sits at 6-3 after falling 11-10 in overtime to A-AAAAA No. 1 Westminster. Johns Creek remains No. 1 despite a 12-10 loss to Pope last week due to a resume that includes wins over No. 7 Lassiter, No. 3 Centennial, No. 8 Walton and No. 4 Roswell. In Class A-AAAAA, the 9-1 Westminster boys replaced Lovett at No. 1.
Lassiter jumped Mill Creek for No. 2 in the girls AAAAAA poll and Chattahoochee made its debut in the top 5. Cambridge remains No. 1 in the girls Class A-AAAAA rankings and Blessed Trinity dropped from No. 2 to No. 3 after falling 13-3 to the top-ranked Bears. Westminster replaced the Titans at No. 2. Defending champion Kell sits at No. 4.
