South Atlanta’s Derrick Favors was named the MVP of last night’s McDonald’s All-American Basketball Game, scoring 19 points to go along with eight rebounds. His east squad defeated the team from the West 113-110 thanks in large part to a pair of Lance Stephenson-to-Derrick Favors alley-oop dunks in the final 41.7 seconds. Favors, a Georgia Tech commitment and the top-ranked player in the country, was the only Georgia athlete to make the game.
