It was reported by ESPN’S Chris Mortensen this morning that Brett Favre will retire. According to Mortensen, Favre instructed his agent on Wednesday to inform the New York Jets that he is done playing football.
During and after the season, there were reports that Favre did not get along well with teammates and management, but Favre has given no word on why he is announcing his retirement. Of course, in a controversial move last summer, Favre came out of retirement to join the Jets after spending almost all of his career in Green Bay. Check ESPN.com for the interview with Mortensen.
