We are counting down to National Signing Day 2014 by putting the spotlight on 25 of Metro Atlanta’s top prospects as they choose their college destinations. These athletes will be recognized for their outstanding varsity careers throughout Score Atlanta’s record breaking coverage of the Peach State’s signees. #NSDFrenzy

Treyvon Paulk is a small but strong running back at 5’9’’ and 200 pounds. He uses his power to excel at running between the tackles, where he is tough to bring down—especially by a solo tackler. Paulk does not possess elite speed, but he has extremely quick feet and his shiftiness allows him not only to run through tacklers but also around them. He has been clocked at 4.60 in the 40-yard dash. Coaches at the next level will hope to see improvement in Paulk’s first-step burst upon receiving handoffs, as it sometimes takes a moment too long for him to reach top speed and power.

He starred at Milton High School, where he amassed more than 1100 rushing yards as a junior to go along with 17 touchdowns. Paulk suffered a torn ACL in the fourth game of his senior campaign. The Eagles went 4-0 with him and 4-3 without him. He may be ready in time for next season at Tennessee, but his status is still uncertain as he continues to rehab.

Paulk committed to the Volunteers last spring. He also received offers from California, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Mississippi, Vanderbilt, West Virginia and Wisconsin, among many others.
