Whitehaven (Tenn.) at Overton (Tenn.) CSS WEB GAME

Whitehaven is averaging 45.6 points per game offensively behind the running of Ramadi Warren. Warren rushed for 124 of Whitehaven’s 254 yards and scored three touchdowns last Friday in the Tigers’ 42-18 win over Hamilton (Tenn.). Teammate Marshawn Jones added 109 rushing yards and a touchdown in the win. Defensively, the Tigers also have a four-star junior prospect in outside linebacker Joshua McMillon. The 6-foot-3, 230-pound playmaker has offers from Auburn, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Vanderbilt among many others.

The Overton offense is led by senior quarterback Lindsey Williams. Williams has led an offense that is averaging 26.3 points per game. Wideout Kenneth Williams is a speedy target that can stretch the field and open up the running game for Jared Steward and Gerald Bailey to come out of the Wolverines’ backfield. Defensively, junior Ugo Amadi is the player to watch for Overton. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound cornerback is a four-star that has been offered by Tennessee, Duke, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Northwestern and Ole Miss.

Island Coast (Fla.) at University-Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) CSS WEB GAME

In last year’s matchup, the Suns and Island Coast were led by quarterbacks that have since graduated. Former University quarterback Mike White signed with the University of South Florida and Island Coast’s former passer signed with East Carolina. Neither of these high-profile passers stole the show in last year’s 44-27 University win, however. The memorable performance came from then-sophomore running back Jordan Scarlett, who paced the Suns with his 110 yards on 21 carries and four touchdowns.

Senior Sean White is an Auburn-commit who has stepped into the Suns’ quarterback role this season and completed 92 of 145 passes for 1,547 yards and 23 touchdowns in University’s first seven games this season. Scarlett scored on a 91-yard touchdown off a White screen on the first play of the game last week and is averaging more than 8.4 yards-per carry.

The Gators have junior dual-threat Quinn Bourque quarterbacking the offense and have relied on their prolific rushing attack to help Bourque parade an efficient passing game. Bourque has thrown 13 touchdowns and five interceptions this season while rushing for 316 yards and seven touchdowns. The Gators’ running attack is averaging 272.3 yards per game and Elijah-Trey Boyd has a team-high eight rushing scores.

Northwestern (S.C.) at Nation Ford (S.C.)

Northwestern is No. 3 in our southeastern poll and is nationally ranked heading into its final regular season game. Dupree Hart caught 10 passes for 153 yards and three touchdowns in Northwestern’s 45-14 win over previously unbeaten York (S.C.) last Friday and Corey Sargent caught an 82-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Mason Rudolph, an Oklahoma State commitment. Last season, the Trojans topped Nation Ford 42-19. The Falcons are 6-3 this season and will rely on senior Dalton Helms who has passed for 2,480 yards and is averaging north of 300 passing yards per game.

Brandon (Miss.) at Jim Hill (Miss.)

Brandon debuted this week in the CSS High School Football Southeastern Top 25 at No. 25 after dominating previously No. 22-ranked Oak Grove (Miss.) 42-23 on Friday. Quarterback Gardner Minshew passed for 265 yards and two touchdowns in the victory and Darien Tillis scored a touchdown on offense and added an interception return for a score. Jim Hill has dropped eight straight games heading into this contest after appearing in the playoffs with a 6-6 record last season.

Auburn (Ala.) at East Limestone (Ala.)

Sophomore Tyus Flakes ran in a 28-yard touchdown with just 1:52 left on the clock to give Auburn a 21-14 victory over Opelika (Ala.) and the Class 6A Region 3 title last Friday. The Tigers topped East Limestone 49-14 last season and face an Indians team that has struggled at 2-7 this year. Auburn’s Rashaan Evans is the No. 2-ranked recruit in the state (according to 247 Sports) and a player to watch. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound linebacker dominates on defense and make plays catching and running the football on offense.
