Daniel Imatorbhebhe is a vital part to an impressive North Gwinnett offense. As a junior wide receiver, Daniel has 19 receptions for 235 yards through seven games. His hard work on the field has paid off as North Gwinnett holds wins against Camden County, Norcross and Mill Creek. Daniel and this team have high aspirations to go deep into the playoffs this year.
Working hard off the football field is extremely important to Daniel. He is very active in the community and in his school. Daniel has a 3.7 GPA so far and is hoping to carry his success in the classroom into college.
“I plan on majoring in some form of engineering. I’m unsure of what field though, it will be either biomedical or environmental engineering,” Daniel explained in a event interview with Score. His play on the field has already drawn interest from Cal, USC, Missouri, Louisville and Georgia.
Daniel showed off his skills during the summer to get the attention of colleges by traveling to several camps.
“Last summer I went to Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, USC, UCLA, Cal and Stanford,” Daniel said. “I had a lot of fun at the camps and I plan on going back to some of those same schools this summer.”
In addition to all the work he does to improve his own life, Daniel works just as hard to improve the lives of those around him. He is an active member of the Spanish club and is also co-president of the FCA with his teammate, and fellow Elite Junior Classic player, Anree Saint-Amour. He also helps his school by volunteering at the concession stands at 9th grade and JV football games, which he has done for the past four years. In addition to all of this he likes to wake up early for events such as the Taste of Suwanee and go help in whatever way he can.
Daniel is an excellent football player, but more than that he is an excellent role model. His parents have stressed the importance of being a good leader and it has shown through his giving nature to the community.
“They said to be an effective leader you must first know how to compassionately serve others without expecting anything in return.” Daniel explained. The North Gwinnett community has been lucky to have such a generous person working to help them.
