Big screens abound at Vinings Sports Grill

Two weeks remain in the NFL’s regular season and that means there’s still time to take full advantage of a Sunday afternoon at the Vinings Sports Grill in Smyrna. There are televisions all over the place, but the restaurant’s proudest attribute is a single wall with—count ‘em—10 TVs, all hooked up to the essential NFL Ticket TV package to satisfy die-hard football fans. Every last one of the NFL contests can be shown, with the games in highest demand featured on multiple television sets.

NFL action is a staple of almost any sports bar. Rarely, however, is a customer able to watch more than a few games simultaneously without getting up from the table and walking around the entire complex. If you’re tired of constantly asking waiters and waitresses to switch to a certain game on a certain TV, then the Vinings Sports Grill is the place for you. For ideal football seating, take a place at the three-sided bar in the center of the room and knock yourself out in front of the 10 TV sets.

Even when there’s no football to be had, patrons often flock to this Smyrna establishment simply to feast on burgers, especially the 3/4-pound Vinings “Big Bertha” Burger. Nachos are also a big hit on a menu that includes a wide variety of choices such as steak, pasta, ribs and seafood. Feeling a little exotic? Try the unique Citrus Paper Bag Talapia, a delicious fish serving without one gram of fat.

The Vinings Sports Grill does not have as much of a “bar” feel as other sports-watching havens in the area (although a solid selection of domestic and imported beers is able to satisfy the needs of the occasional Detroit Lions fan), but it does provide for a rare family-friendly environment. A relaxing outing filled with fun, food and football in the company of gracious hosts and waitresses is on the menu for anyone who makes the smart decision to stop by the Vining Sports Grill.
