The football team defeated Mill Creek 30-0 on Oct. 24. Junior running back Charles Perkins carried the ball 27 times for 255 yards, including a 79-yard touchdown run. Quarterback Michael Box connected with James Reed for a 13-yard score. The Eagles defeated South Forsyth 31-28 last Friday on a 32-yard game-winning field goal from Craig Tanguay as time expired. Perkins finished with 214 yards rushing and three touchdowns. The Eagles finish the regular season this Friday in a game with huge playoff implications against Norcross. A win against the Blue Devils guarantees the Eagles at least the third spot in Region 7-AAAAA. … Karlie Gillam and Alexa Lewis of the softball team were named to the East Atlanta All-Star Team for the Georgia Dugout Club Seniors All-Star Games to be played this Friday and Saturday. The girls have also chosen where they will play college softball. Gillam has chosen Kennesaw State while Lewis wll attend Georgia Southern. … The boys and girls cross country teams won the Region 7-AAAAA Championship last Saturday. Joe Sokohl led the boys with a time of 16:09 and Amanda Winslow (17:30) finished first overall for the girls.
