Football meets Woodstock, still in mix for region title

The football team lost on Oct. 24 for the first time this season against McEachern 48-33. The Hoyas were behind 35-10 at the half and were able to get back in the game due to touchdowns from Jase Brooks and David Dupaty. Dupaty led the team with 98 yards rushing. The team bounced back last Friday, defeating Marietta 21-14 to improve to 8-1. Robbie Godhigh scored two key touchdowns to spark the victory. Christian Burnett scored the game-winning touchdown late in the fourth quarter. The win kept the team in a first-place tie in Region 5-AAAAA. Harrison will play its regular season finale against Etowah on Friday night. … The volleyball team ended its season with a disappointing  3-0 (25-15,26-24, 25-22) loss to Milton in the state tournament. Jennifer Kuroski had a team-high 207 kills on the season. … The cross country teams hosted the Region 5-AAAAA meet on Oct. 29. Ryan Burress and Lee McClung led the boys with fourth- and fifth-place finishes, respectively. The Hoyas finished second in the meet. Ali Waterson finished third overall for the girls team, which won the region title.
