Player of the Week, October 8 – Dominique Swope, Sequoyah

The sophomore running back has been making noise for the 4-1, 10th-ranked Chiefs. In just over a half of play before sustaining a minor shoulder injury, Swope ran for 199 yards and two touchdowns in Sequoyah’s 35-14 upset of previous Class 4A No. 7 Dalton last Friday. In a narrow 26-21 loss at state-ranked Rome the previous week, he exploded for 173 yards and three touchdowns.
