Player of the Week, October 8 – Kathleen LaPorte, St. Pius X

The Golden Lions’ cross country star turned in a national elite time of 18:58.47 at the Alexander/Asics Invitational last Saturday, a season best. LaPorte placed first overall at the Class 4A state cross country meet in 2007. She is also a top performer in the spring, as she placed first overall at the Class 4A state track meet in the 3,200- and 1,600-meter runs.
